Rugby was first played on the Central Coast competitively in 1970 after the Brisbane Waters Rugby Club was formed in 1969. The club played in the Newcastle Rugby Union competition from 1970 until 1974. The Central Coast Rugby competition began in its own right in 1975.
Established in 1981, Ourimbah Rugby Club originally played as the ‘All Blacks’. In the 1990s, the club sought change and ‘The Razorback’ became the mascot that and with time, came the evolution to the Razorbacks Rugby Club.
Based at Ourimbah, the club was a junior home to Adam Ashley-Cooper and Scottish International and British & Irish Lion Nathan Hines. In recent years, we've had multiple Senior NSW Country Cockatoos including Joesfa Biu, Jordan Clark and Tyron Davies in 2019.
